2-Year-Old Shot, Killed In St. Paul Wednesday
The 911 caller only reported that the boy had "hurt his head," according to police.
SAINT PAUL, MN — Saint Paul police are investigating after a 2-year-old boy was shot and killed Wednesday. At 1:12 p.m., a 911 caller reported that the boy only had "hurt his head."
St. Paul fire medics arrived at the third-floor apartment and found the child with a gunshot wound.
Medics treated the child, but he died in an ambulance parked outside of the apartment building about 8 minutes after the 911 call was made.

Three juviniles were brought to police headquarters for questioning. Investigators say it's not yet clear who fired the weapon, and note there may have been other people in the apartment when the child was fatally shot.
Police are hoping the autopsy from the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine whether the shooting was accidental, intentional or self-inflicted.
