When you see snow blowing across a roadway this winter, be alert for the possibility of "blow ice." Snow starting to drift into the road is a good indicator that the road ahead could be slippery.
Sgt. Jesse Grabow said on Twitter this is what is keeping troopers busy in west-central Minnesota Thursday.

- Slow down
- Not use your cruise control
- Increase your following distance
- Give yourself extra time to get to your destination
- Line up a sober ride or stay put if you have been drinking
