Blowing Snow, Ice Cause Havoc for Semis Across Minnesota

The windy arctic blast is whipping up some wicked driving conditions across Minnesota this week. Low visibility and poor road conditions have resulted in a number of accidents across the state involving semis.

On Thursday morning alone, the Pioneer Press reported four crashes involving semitrailers Thursday along Interstate 694 in the Twin Cities. No injuries were reported.

A semi crashed on Tuesday around 3:30 p.m. on Minnesota Highway 139, one mile south of Harmony. The driver lost control on the icy road and crashed into the ditch.

Also on Tuesday, Minnesota State Patrol responded to a UPS semi that jackknifed on Interstate 94 between Moorhead and Downer.
