The Chainsmokers New Tour To Hit St. Paul: Dates, Tickets

The Chainsmokers on Tuesday announced a new tour that will hit 41 cities. Here's how you can catch them in Saint Paul.

SAINT PAUL, MN — The Chainsmokers have announced a new tour and the Grammy-winning electronic pop duo will be in Saint Paul on Oct. 5. The “World War Joy” tour will hit more than 40 cities beginning Sept 25 in Cincinnati. It will end Dec. 6 in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The Australian pop-rock band 5 Seconds of Summer — popular amongst teens and tweens — will also join the Chainsmokers on the tour, along with singer Lennon Stella. In announcing the tour, the band tweeted: “We are SOO EXCITED to announce our WORLD WAR JOY North American Fall Tour along with @5SOS and @LennonStella.”

The tour will hit major cities including Boston, Detroit, Chicago, St. Paul, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Columbus, Washington, D.C., New York, Austin, Houston, Louisville, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Milwaukee, Oklahoma City, Kansas City, Denver, Salt Lake City and Phoenix.

In Saint Paul, the duo will play at Xcel Energy Center and tickets can be had for as little as $65.

The Chainsmokers are perhaps best known for their song “Closer,” featuring Halsey, which peaked at #1 on the charts in October 2016, according to Billboard. They’ve also charted hits including “Don’t Let Me Down,” “Something Just Like This,” and “Roses.”
