It's going to an exciting weekend in the Twin Cities, especially for Saint Paul, where city officials expect 200,000 visitors downtown throughout weekend for Red Bull Crashed Ice, the Winter Carnival, and other events.

On Friday, Feb. 3rd and 4th, the 2017 Red Bull Crashed Ice World Championship will return to Saint Paul for its sixth straight year. Like in years past, the event will take place on the front steps of the Cathedral of Saint Paul.

The ice cross downhill competition has drawn huge crowds to witness the high-speed action. Fans watch skaters compete in a race to the bottom of a long – and steep – ice track.
