'The Gnome' Will Replace St. Paul's 'The Happy Gnome'
A new pub and beer hall is coming to Cathedral Hill, but its name will be familiar to St. Paul residents.
SAINT PAUL, MN — Chef Brian Ingram and his wife Sarah will open "The Gnome" in the space where "The Happy Gnome" used to be in St. Paul's Cathedral Hill neighborhood. The Gnome will open as a modern pub and beer hall in late July.
Changes to the St. Paul space — located at 498 Selby Avenue — will include an expanded patio and an outdoor bar.
"In continuing with the legacy of The Happy Gnome combined with the history of the firehouse and representation of a gnome providing protection, we felt The Gnome name was so fitting," said Chef Brian Ingram in a statement.
