Labor Day 2017: What's Open, What's Closed In St. Paul

Here's a look at what's open and what's closed on Labor Day 2017 in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

SAINT PAUL, MN — For most people, Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, with the Minnesota State Fair ending and kids and college students in the Twin Cities heading back to school. This year, Labor Day is Monday, Sept. 4. Because Labor Day is a federal holiday, it means a day off work and no school for children, and many municipal services are also closed.

Saint Paul city government offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 4 in observance of Labor Day. There will be no city of Saint Paul recycling pick-up on Sept. 4. Most recycling pick-ups will occur one day later than their normal schedule.

The office closures do not affect 911, police and fire emergency services. City offices will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
