MINNEAPOLIS, MN — You won't be surprised to learn that we just experienced one of the warmest Novembers in Twin Cities history. In fact, November 2016 was the 2nd warmest on record for the Twin Cities, and October-November 2016 was the warmest on record, according to the National Wether Service.
The Twin Cities also recorded the latest frost on record since records began in 1871. The temperature finally dropped below freezing at MSP Airport on Nov. 18.
It was especially warm elsewhere in the state, too. The average temperature in Duluth was about 40 degrees. International Falls reported the warmest November since records began in 1897, with an average temperature of about 37 degrees.
