Smith Avenue High Bridge To Reopen Wednesday, Nov. 21
The 15-month closure in the east metro will come to a close today.
SAINT PAUL, MN — The Smith Avenue High Bridge will reopen by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, the Minnesota Department of Transportation announced. Crews will reopen the High Bridge after a 15-month closure to reconstruct the bridge deck and improve pedestrian and bicycle accommodations.
A short section of the Samuel Morgan Trail that runs beneath the High Bridge and adjacent to the Mississippi River will remain closed through early December while crews finish restoration work.
