Snowstorm Brings More than 1100 Crashes on Minnesota Roads

Snowy weather and frigid temperatures made for difficult driving conditions on Minnesota roads this weekend.

Public safety officials were busy this weekend as snowy winter weather resulted in thousands of crashes and spinouts across Minnesota. The Minnesota State Patrol (MSP) reported a total of 1148 crashes this weekend, including 110 injuries and two fatalities, occurring in Brainerd and Thief River.

MSP reported 1498 separate vehicle spinout/off road incidents.

There is potential for a winter storm this coming weekend. It is too early to say where or how much snow will fall, but keep checking the forecast if you have travel plans.
