Standoff In St. Paul Park Ends In Arrest Monday: Report

The man locked himself in a room with what authorities believed was a loaded shotgun, KSTP reports.

SAINT PAUL, MN — An hours-long standoff between police and a man in St. Paul Park ended with one person in custody late Monday night.

KSTP reports officers were called to a home in the 800 block of Third Street just before 6:30 p.m. after it was reported that a man had assaulted another person. The suspect was believed to have locked himself in a room with a loaded firearm.

The news outlet reports the 55-year-old suspect was surrendered and taken into custody some time before midnight.
