Travel In Peace This Spring Break With Saint Paul PD House Watch

Residents can sign up to have their homes monitored for signs of break-ins.

SAINT PAUL, MN — Saint Paul Police Department is working to ensure residents can leave their homes behind and travel with confidence this spring break.

In a social media post, the department said it new program, called house watch, lets residents sign up to have their homes and properties periodically patrolled by an officer when they are out of town.

"It’s as simple as an officer driving by and making sure there aren’t any signs of forced entry," the post reads.

To sign up, residents must provide their address, contact information and departure and return dates. They must also identify someone who is staying in town with a key to their home.

Residents can sign up for the House Watch Program online.
