Vikings Fans Boo The Eagles At Super Bowl Opening Night: Watch

The Super Bowl is supposed to be played on a neutral site, but Minnesota is hostile territory for the Philadelphia Eagles.

SAINT PAUL, MN — Minneapolis is Patriots country; or at least it was last night. Super Bowl week officially kicked off Monday evening with the big game's "Opening Night" from the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul. Players from the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles met with the media and answered questions on everything from football to fashion.

In addition to the media, there were fans of both Super Bowl teams in the stands Monday night, but at times it was hard to tell. Angry about the recent loss and how their fans were treated in Philadelphia during the NFC Championship, Vikings fans booed at any mention of the Eagles.

One Eagles writer said Minnesotans should reconsider booing. "They don't get it," tweeted Philly Daily News'Stu Bykofsky. "Our Eagles LOVE boos. Makes them feel at home."
