WCCO Anchor To Join MPR As Host Of 11 A.M. Show

SAINT PAUL, MN — Long-time WCCO news anchor and reporter Angela Davis will join MPR News as host of its 11 a.m. program, focusing on important issues facing Minnesotans and the state. She will start this new position in early November.

“We are so happy to have Angela join our team,” Nancy Cassutt, executive director for news and programming at Minnesota Public Radio, said in a statement.

“MPR News is committed to convening the most important conversations Minnesotans need and want. Angela is the just right person to help us do that. She brings a new voice, curiosity and fresh perspective on multiple topics and issues important to our audiences. She understands this state, knows its most pressing issues, and will be a great fit in engaging with audiences on these important topics.”

Davis comes to MPR News after more than 20 years of reporting and anchoring in the Twin Cities and other cities throughout the country. She's also served on the Board of Directors for Twin Cities Academy and currently serving on the Board of Directors for the YWCA Minneapolis and as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

She lives in Saint Paul with her husband and two children.
