5 Public Hearings Scheduled In Shakopee For February 4, 2021

  • Rezoning of property from Highway Business (B-1) Zone to Light Industry (I-1) Zone. Ledios Engineering, LLC and Shakopee Public Utilities are requesting the rezoning of 2022 Colburn Drive to construct an over-height utility structure (electrical distribution substation) at this site. Over-height structures are allowed as a conditional use within the I-1 Zone and not allowed in the B-1 Zone.
  • Conditional use permit for an over-height utility structure at 2022 Colburn Drive in the proposed Light Industry (I-1) Zone. Ledios Engineering, LLC and Shakopee Public Utilities plan to construct an electrical distribution substation.
  • A preliminary plat of Jefferson Court. Link Construction proposes to subdivide the vacant property at 1025 Jefferson St., north of New Creation Church, into eight lots for the construction of eight single-family houses. This proposal includes 2.48 acres.
  • Rezoning of property to R1B Urban Residential Zone, a preliminary plat of Whispering Waters and vacation of drainage and utility easements. KeyLand Development plans to develop 59.6 acres at 7556 Eagle Creek Blvd. and 2163 Pike Lake Road into 134 single-family residential lots.
  • A variance to the minimum lot width requirement and maximum impervious surface percentage in the Shoreland Overlay Zone for Lots 86 and 110 in the proposed Whispering Waters Subdivision.
