City Of Shakopee Publishes Update About Coronavirus

As updates come in about the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) city staff are continuously monitoring the situation. At this time, the Community Center and Ice Arena remain open, and scheduled activities in these facilities will proceed as planned.

However, recreation programs scheduled to take place in Shakopee Public School facilities are canceled. This includes adult volleyball league and youth association activities.

Please continue to follow us for updates as this is a rapidly changing situation. We will continue to weigh our options and follow the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Minnesota Department of Health.

In the meantime, we are committed to maintaining a sanitary facility. Our facilities maintenance staff have been briefed about the virus and will continue to provide a clean facility for our residents and members.

Our members are asked to do their part to prevent the spread of disease by washing their hands, wiping down used exercise equipment and maintaining good hygiene while at the Community Center.
