Programs and rentals canceled

Fitness classes, programs, special events and facility rentals will be canceled or moved virtually until there is guidance from the state for safely reopening.

Residents who have registered for an event or reserved a room for rental will be notified about processing their refund or rescheduling their event. No new facility rentals will be accepted at this time.

Community Center memberships will be put on hold to ensure members receive the full length of their term agreement. This means your membership expiration will be extended the length of closure. For month-to-month Community Center memberships, you will not be billed for the month of December. If you have questions, please leave a message at 952-233-9500 or email parks@ShakopeeMN.gov.

Free virtual fitness classes

We will continue to offer free virtual fitness classes using the Zoom platform through Dec. 31. You can register to attend these classes at www.ShakopeeMN.gov/communitycenter.

Winter/Spring program registration

The Parks and Recreation Winter/Spring 2021 Activities Brochure is set to be delivered to Shakopee homes the week of Nov. 23. Program registration will open Dec. 1; however, all programs scheduled before Dec. 18 will not take place or be moved virtually, if possible. All other programs are subject to cancellation or change based on state health and safety guidelines.
