Holmes Playground Replacement To Start From July 20 In Shakopee

The playground at Holmes Park will be closed beginning Monday, July 20 as crews remove the existing equipment and prepare for installation of new equipment in early August. Work is anticipated to take four to five weeks, weather permitting.

In May, the City Council approved the purchase of playground equipment for Holmes Park in the amount of $79,200 from St. Croix Recreation Fun Playgrounds, Inc. The equipment was one of three options provided to neighborhood residents, who were invited to share feedback through a city survey.
