
Allen J. Fournier, age 76, of Shakopee, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Friday, Sept. 27, 2013.
Allen was born on December 20, 1936, in Terrebonne, MN, the son of Adrian and Georgianna (Thibert) Fournier. He graduated from Lafayette High School in Red Lake Falls, MN, and then Saint John's University in Collegeville, MN where he received a bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Administration.Â
Allen married Judy Brandt on Nov. 3, 1962, in Oklee, Minnesota. He was proud to serve in the United States Navy, serving on a destroyer ship during the end of the Korean War.

Allen was a certified public accountant, and joined Honeywell in 1967. He was a former director of Honeywell's international tax function, and was responsible for Honeywell's global tax issues. He was a member of TEI's Minnesota Chapter. Allen retired from Honeywell as the Vice President of international tax.
Allen loved St. John's football and fishing. He was a member of the Shakopee Lions Club. Together, he and Judy enjoyed their campground, A-J Acres Campground in Clearwater, MN, and their home in Arizona.

Survivors include his wife, Judy; sons and daughters, Mark, Tom (Diana Dimarino), David, Ann (Greg) Valek, Susan (Chris) Reynolds; 12 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded by parents, Adrian and Georgianna; brother, Raymond; sister, Georgette Gibson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at 11 a.m., at The Parish of Saints Joachim and Anne (Church of St. Mary of the Purification), 15850 Marystown Road, Marystown. Presiding is the Rev. Peter Wittman. Pallbearers are Mark Fournier, Tom Fournier, David Fournier, Greg Valek, Chris Reynolds, and John Brandt. Interment will be held on Friday, Oct. 4, 3 p.m., at St. Anthony Cemetery, Terrebonne, MN.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at McNearney Funeral Home, 1220 East Third Avenue, Shakopee.
