Invasive Species Plan Off to Slow Start
At least three boats have been caught accidentally transporting zebra mussels this summer.

Boaters and lakeshore residents in Carver County will likely have to wait until next year to see the benefits of a county-organized invasive species inspection program, according to the Chanhassen Villager.
The program, conceived as a way to help lakeside communities share the cost of hiring inspectors to protect their waters against the likes of zebra mussels.
So far, at least three boats visiting Carver County lakes have been found to be accidentally transporting zebra mussels.
