Red Flag Warning for Shakopee, Scott County
The warning is in effect until 9 p.m. on Tuesday.

Areas of central and south central Minnesota, including Shakopee and Scott County, are under a Red Flag Warning.
According to the National Weather Service, a red flag warning is issued when:
Critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures will create explosive fire growth potential.

Monday's high for Shakopee is near 82. Tonight into early Tuesday morning, humidity increases and decreases in wind will create a break in the fire danger.
However, according to the warning statement, "dangerous fire weather conditions will redevelop on Tuesday across most of southern Minnesota." This is a result of the high temperatures, strong winds, and low humidity expected on Tuesday.
