Council enters cooperative maintenance agreement with Scott County for pedestrian bridge and nearby trail

The City Council agreed to begin a cooperative maintenance agreement with Scott County to maintain a new trail connection near Highway 169 and Marschall Road. The city will split the cost of the bituminous asphalt on the trail with the county and will also maintain fencing and lighting on the trail. A pedestrian bridge that will cross Highway 169 will be maintained by the county. This bridge will provide a critical trail connection on the trail near County Highway 17 (Marschall Road) and County Highway 16 (17th Avenue E). Scott County has planned for the bridge connection and has secured federal funding to begin building the bridge. More information: Ryan Halverson, Assistant City Engineer, 952-233-9366.
