Shakopee Community Center To Remain Closed For November 8-11

The closure gives staff time to fully sanitize the building and ensure potentially exposed employees are quarantined and tested.

The Shakopee Community Center will be closed Nov. 8-11. The decision to close the Community Center is being made out of an abundance of caution due to a handful of COVID positive cases. Additionally, in-person fitness classes will be suspended until Nov. 15.

Guests who may have come in contact with COVID positive members in fitness classes have received an email from Shakopee Parks and Recreation Department with more details about the potential exposure.

The closure gives staff time to fully sanitize the building and ensure potentially exposed employees are quarantined and tested.

Although in-person fitness classes will be canceled until Nov. 15, residents can still participate in virtual fitness classes. Sign up for virtual classes at www.ShakopeeMN.gov/communitycenter.
