Shakopee Police Arrest One In Fatal Shooting Incident
Shakopee officers found a 65-year-old male inside the home with gunshot wounds.

Shakopee, Minn. – On June 8, 2020, at approximately 7:22 p.m., Shakopee Police Department responded to a report of a shooting incident in the 2400 block of Paha Circle.

Shakopee officers found a 65-year-old male inside the home with gunshot wounds. He was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. His identity will be released by the Hennepin County medical examiner’s office.
Officers apprehended a 23-year-old male, Brady Daniel Zipoy (7/9/96), at the scene. Zipoy was arrested for second degree murder and is being held in the Scott County Jail pending charges.

At this time, the department does not believe Zipoy and the victim knew each other. However, police do not believe there is any threat or danger to the general public.
Investigators from the Shakopee Police Department are investigating the death.
