The Minnesota Department of Transportation announced spring load restrictions will be in effect on state highways in the metro.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation announced spring load restrictions will be in effect on state highways in the metro, south and southeast frost zones beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, March 4. Spring road restrictions may affect Republic Services’ alley refuse and recycling collection. Carts may be moved to the curb. Contact Republic Services at 952-941-5174 with questions.
The spring load restrictions ending date is not known since restrictions are based on how weather affects roadway strength. An update will be posted on the city website when restrictions are lifted.
