Woman Ejected From Car In Fatal I-35W Crash In Minneapolis

The driver was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, police said.

MINNEAPOLIS — A Wisconsin woman died after she was ejected from her vehicle in a single-car crash in Minneapolis Tuesday night. The driver was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, police said.

The driver, a 50-year-old from Hammond, was going southbound on I-35W just before 8 p.m., approaching Stinson Boulevard.

She lost control of the Oldsmobile Bravada and the vehicle collided with the guard rail on the right side of the freeway, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The driver was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

Road conditions were wet at the time of the crash, police said.
