May 13, 2021

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is expected to announce this afternoon at its daily briefing that those who are fully vaccinated – deemed to be two weeks after receiving their last dose of the COVID-19 vaccine – will no longer be required to wear masks or socially distance in most indoor and outdoor situations. To date, approximately 35 percent of the adult population has been fully vaccinated and almost half of all Minnesotans. Most states have followed the CDC guidelines over the course of the last year and many states put mask mandates in place when the CDC recommended it in April 2020.
