Hanover Oktoberfest Set for Oct. 19
Enjoy the fall with live music, pumpkin decorating, costume contest, games and more.

The Hanover Oktoberfest is gearing up for a Saturday of fall activities 3-7 p.m. Oct. 19, 2013.
The event will take place in downtown Hanover at the 1885 Hanover Historic Bridge, according to the Hanover city newsletter.

- Live music by the Elk River German Band
- Food and beverage served by the River Inn, desserts and snacks served by the Hanover Royalty and Silent Auction.
- Free pumpkin decorating for kids. Each child will receive a pumpkin to decorate and supplies. Decorating is from 3-4 p.m. Judging starts at 4 p.m. for several age categories. Must be present to win.
- Costume contest for kids. Prizes awarded in preschool, ages nine and under and age 10-16 categories.
- Outdoor games.
The event is hosted by the River Inn, Hanover Historical Society, Hanover Harvest Festival Royalty, Hanover Athletic Association with support from the city of Hanover.
