Lantern Cross Wright County Ski Event Coming To Ney Park

After two weeks in the deep freeze, Wright County Parks & Recreation’s Lantern Cross-County Ski event couldn’t come at a better time than 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 20). The event is at Robert Ney Memorial Park Reserve in Maple Lake Township and the 1.3-mile pond loop trail will be illuminated with approximately 50 propane lanterns. There is no charge for the event, but Parks & Rec wants people to be aware that all of the rental skis and poles have been reserved, so those who wish to stop in and ski the pond loop will have to bring their own equipment
