Longtime County Assessor, St. Michael Legion Member Dies

Andrew “Pete” Merges, 73, Albertville, died Thursday December 12, 2013 at his home.

Pete was an Army veteran and a longtime assessor for Wright County. He also was a lifetime member of the St. Michael American Legion.

Services were held Tuesday, Dec. 17 at the Church of St. Albert in Albertville, where he and his wife of 47 years, Renee, were members. Visitation was the evening prior. Internment will be at St. Albert Cemetery, Albertville.

Arrangements were handled by Peterson Chapel, Albertville.
