Minnesota Added To List Of States On New York's Travel Restriction List

Anyone with travel plans to the State of New York may have to make some changes to those plans if they aren’t more than two weeks out.

As New York attempts to re-open as part of phased in approach to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic, Minnesota has been added to the list of states where residents traveling to New York would have to go through a 14-day quarantine before being allowed to enter the state.

Minnesota was one of four states added to the list today, along with Wisconsin, New Mexico and Ohio.

New York’s restriction on travel from outside its borders has been growing in recent weeks and the quarantine applies to anyone arriving from a state with positive tests rates higher than 10 per 100,000 residents over a seven-day rolling average or a state with a 10 percent rate over a seven-day rolling average.

New York now requires residents of 22 states to quarantine for 14 days, Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Wisconsin.
