National Weather Service Issues Wind Chill Advisory For Wright County

A gradual warmup is expected next week, but, through at least Thursday, nighttime lows are expected to be below zero.

At 2:20 p.m. this afternoon, the National Weather Service issued a Wind Chill Advisory for Wright County through noon Saturday (Feb. 13) with wind chill temperatures expected to reach 25 to 35 degrees below zero. Wright County is also under a Wind Chill Advisory until noon Monday (Feb. 15). Wright County isn’t expected to see a temperature above zero until Tuesday and forecast low air temperatures the next four nights are -17, -23, -25 and -18.

A gradual warmup is expected next week, but, through at least Thursday, nighttime lows are expected to be below zero. Travel is not advised and extreme caution when outdoors is recommended because, at these temperatures, frostbite can set in quickly
