Obituary: Martinus Weinans of Rogers

Martinus Weinans, 70, died Aug. 18, 2013 on his 70th birthday, according to an obituary posted by The Peterson Chapel, St. Michael/Albertville.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2013 at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 21304 Church Avenue in Rogers. Luncheon to follow. A visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22 at the The Peterson Chapel, St. Michael/Albertville with a 7 p.m. prayer service.

Weinans was born in Emmen, the Netherlands during the war in 1943. He moved to the United States in 1969. In 1984, he opened Van Guilders Goldsmith in Minneapolis and later Edina, according to the obituary.
