The temporary legislation allowed those with driver’s licenses that had no change in name or address to renew their licenses for another four years without the requirement of a new photo or an eye test. More than 370,000 licenses were renewed under this legislation, but the built-in expiration date of June 30, 2021 will expire tomorrow at the end of business. As of July 1, all license renewals need to be done in person at local license centers and the online renewal links on the DVS website will come down.
