Wright County Highway Maintenance Supervisor Steve Meyer said the forecast for Wright County has it close to the line where rain turns to freezing rain then to snow, but, barring a significant shift in the storm track, Wright County should remain with only rain showers in the forecast for this evening.

Meyer said the potential for the heaviest precipitation is expected between 10 p.m. and midnight, but, with a forecast low temperature of 37 degrees, there shouldn’t be overnight issues with freezing. However, with Winter Weather Advisories in effect as close as Stearns County with the potential for three or more inches of snow, a shift in the storm track should have those who will be taking a morning commute to prepare accordingly
