Al Franken on Teddy Bridgewater Injury: 'Like Hillary's Having an Affair with Anthony Weiner'
U.S. Senator Al Franken had an interesting way to describe how he felt when Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater suffered an injury.
Out of all the ways that Minnesota Vikings fans could describe how they felt when they learned quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will be out for the season, the most expressive appears to have come from U.S. Sen. Al Franken:
Al Franken upon learning of Vikes QB Teddy Bridgewater's knee injury: "Its llike finding out Hillary's having an affair with Anthony Weiner"

Franken later apologized for the remark.
Pretty insensitive and stupid of me. Regret it and sincerely apologize. https://t.co/VNLz1EJXOs

The Minnesota Vikings placed Bridgewater on injured reserve Wednesday, a day after the third-year quarterback tore his ACL and suffered other structural damage at practice.
