Bail Set For Woodbury Man Accused Of Killing Wife: Report
Bail is $2 million without conditions and $1 million with several conditions.
WOODBURY, MN — $2 million bail was set Thursday for McKinley Phillips, the Woodbury man who was accused of killing his wife, The St. Paul Pioneer Press reported.
Washington County District Judge Juanita Freeman set the $2 million bail for release without conditions and $1 million bail for release with conditions including Phillips not being allowed to contact any of the children who were in the house, wearing a GPS-monitoring system, not drinking alcohol and not leaving the state of Minnesota, the report said.
Another condition unrelated to bail is that Phillips is not allowed to possess firearms, according to the report.

Phillips was charged with second-degree murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of his wife, Shavon Phillips, 42, according to a criminal complaint filed in Minnesota's 10th Judicial District Court. He could face up to 40 years if convicted, the complaint said.

McKinley Phillips was found on a bus in Wisconsin, trying to flee to Chicago, police said.
Officers had been called to the home three times in the past two months for domestic-related incidents, police said.
The children who are in the house at the time of the killing are in the care of Washington County Child Protection Services, police said.
