Closures On I-494, I-694 In East Metro Begin

WOODBURY, MN — Motorists on Interstate 494 in Woodbury and Interstate 694 in Oakdale will encounter lane closures as crews begin median work on Dec. 5. Beginning at 8 p.m. Wednesday, the left lane will be closed in both directions of Interstate 494 between Valley Creek Road and the I-94/I-494/I-694 interchange.

Also beginning at 8 p.m. Wednesday, the left lane will be closed in both directions of Interstate 694 between 10th Street and the I-94/I-494/I-694 interchange.

Near the interchange, both directions of I-494 and I-694 may be reduced to a single lane.

The median work is in preparation of the upcoming I-94/I-494/I-694 interchange and bridge reconstruction project scheduled to begin in spring 2019.

All lanes will reopen daily by 6 a.m. each morning, weather permitting. The median work is expected to be completed by Saturday, Dec. 22, according to a news release.
