Compost Bin And Rain Barrel Sale Kicks Off In Washington County

WASHINGTON COUNTY, MN— Residents of Washington County are now able to purchase discounted compost bins and regular-priced rain barrels, the county said.

Due to the pandemic, these items are only available through pre-order while supplies last, the county said.

Those who order these items can pick them up at the Environmental Center in Cottage Grove during its open hours, the county said.

During pickup, residents must stay in their cars and tell the staff their name and order through a cracked window, and the items will be placed in the vehicles trunk or cargo bed, the county said.

Compost bins are available to order for $44 here.

Discounted rain barrels are sold out, but regularly-priced ones can be ordered for $79 here.
