Family Dog Returned After Vehicle Theft In Woodbury

A Lexus was stolen in Woodbury with the family's labradoodle Sunday. The dog was later found tied up outside an apartment in St. Paul.

WOODBURY, MN — A family dog was rescued after it was inside a Lexus that was stolen in Woodbury. Police said the was Lexus parked at the Walgreens on 1615 Queens Drive when it was stolen with "Violet," a female labradoodle, still inside.

On Monday, police said that Violet's family received a call that their labradoodle was tied to a parked vehicle outside an apartment complex in St. Paul. The owners met caller and an officer outside the apartment to reconnect with Violet.

"Woodbury Public Safety and Violet's family are thankful for the watchful eyes of the Twin Cities Metro residents," police said in a statement.
