Here's How Many Washington County Residents Have Been Vaccinated
The statewide mask mandate is scheduled to end by July but could end earlier if 70 percent of Minnesotans get vaccinated before then.
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MN— A total of 131,081 residents— or 65 percent of the of adults in the county— have received at least their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the latest numbers from the Minnesota Department of Health.
Of those, 98,785 residents — or 49 percent of the county — have received both doses.
In Minnesota overall, 2.6 million people, or 46 percent of the state, have received at least one dose.

About 2 million people, or 35 percent of the state, have received both doses.
Overall, the state has been averaging giving about 32,960 shots per day on average, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.

In all, over 3.9 million vaccines have been shipped to Minnesota providers, and 1.1 vaccines have been shipped to long-term care facilities for the CDC long-term care vaccination program.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz announced Thursday that the state's mask mandate will end by July at the latest, but it could end earlier if 70 percent of Minnesotans get vaccinated before then.
Walz also shared a timeline for easing COVID-19 restrictions.
Beginning Thursday:
- No more limits for outdoor dining, events, and other get-togethers, and ends the mask requirement outdoors except for "large venues" with more than 500 people.
- No more state-mandated closing time for bars and restaurants
Beginning May 28:
- Face masks only apply indoors and for outdoor events that exceed 500 people
- No more capacity and distancing limits, including for indoor gatherings
Beginning July or earlier:
- Mask mandate will end by July 1 but could end earlier depending on vaccination rates.
