WOODBURY, MN— Over a year into the pandemic, restaurants and businesses are beginning to open back up to 75 percent capacity.

There don't seem to be any restrictions on outdoor activities which is perfect for Easter egg hunting.

Eggs are a symbol of rebirth and fertility, which is a common explanation for why they are associated with the resurrection of Jesus. Another possible explanation is that Christians weren't allowed to consume animal products during Lent, so they boiled eggs to eat on Easter, TIME said.

Here's where you can hunt for Easter eggs in Woodbury:

  • Woodbury Community Church is hosting an Easter egg hunt on April 3 from 1-3 p.m. This event is free, and will have prizes for both children and parents.
  • Outing Lodge in Stillwater is hosting an egg hunt with take-home meals on April 3 and 4. The egg hunt will begin at 1 p.m. and the take-home meals will be available 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
  • RE/MAX Results in Maple Grove will be handing out eggs between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on April 1. The Easter Bunny will also be present at this event.

The White House hosts an annual Easter egg roll, a tradition that began in 1876, but this event has been cancelled for 2020-21 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
