Highway 95 Closure In Washington County Rescheduled

COTTAGE GROVE, MN — The road closure and detour on Highway 95 in the Denmark Township and Cottage Grove area originally scheduled for Mon., June 3 has been rescheduled for Mon., June 10.

Beginning at 12:01 a.m. on June 10, Highway 95 between 70th Street/County Road 22 and Highway 61 will close to through traffic. Motorists will be directed to follow the posted detour of 70th Street, Keats Ave/County Road 19 and Highway 61.

Motorists are urged to plan ahead and allow more time to reach their destination.

This work is part of the larger Highway 95 Safety Improvement Project and will take two construction seasons to finish. This year’s work will include widening shoulders, adding turn lanes and resurfacing the road.

Construction is expected to be complete by late fall 2020, according to a news release.

The Highway 95 safety improvement work will improve pavement condition, safety, traffic flow and drainage.
