Highway 95 In East Metro Closed Due To Flooding

WASHINGTON COUNTY, MN — The Minnesota Department of Transportation says Highway 95 is closed between 70th and 80th Streets in Cottage Grove and Denmark Township due to flooding.

Highway 95 will likely be closed for several days as localized flooding continues.

Authorities are suggesting that motorists use Highway 61, County Road 19 (Innovation Road/Keats Avenue/Woodbury Drive) and 70th Street as an alternative route.

Travel is not allowed in this section of Highway 95 until conditions improve. When a road is closed it is illegal to travel in that area, officials said, and offenders could face a fine and jail time.
