WOODBURY, MN— The Washington County Board of Commissioners approved a $7.5 million contract with Shafer Contracting Co. Inc. at its May 11 meeting for improvements on Woodbury Drive, the county said.

The project will reconstruct the two-lane undivided highway to a four-lane constructed highway in between St. Ambrose Road and Dale Road, the county said. The project will also add trails to both sides of Woodbury Drive and a round-a-bout to Dale Road, the county said.

The board also approved an agreement with the city of Woodbury for maintenance of items constructed in this project, and the city approved the agreement April 28, the county said.
