Kyle Uecker Joins SoWashCo Schools As The New Director Of Facilities

Mr. Uecker is currently the senior maintenance coordinator for Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) where he has spent the past 16 years managing multimillion-dollar projects, helping to develop long-term maintenance plans and ensuring project compliance with the school district and government safety and environmental regulations.
I am excited to have Kyle join SoWashCo Schools to lead our facilities team. His extensive K-12 experience with MPS will be an asset to us.

Mr. Uecker has spent the majority of his career focused on safety, working as the manager of environmental health and safety for several businesses since 1996.
“I am really looking forward to joining the Department of Facilities at SoWashCo Schools. It feels like a homecoming as I grew up and currently live in Cottage Grove,” said Uecker. “I look forward to learning from the facilities team and working with them to keep the district moving forward in the ultimate goal of providing a safe, comfortable, clean and positive learning environment for SoWashCo Schools students and staff.”
Mr. Uecker will work closely with the assistant director of facilities, Dan Hines. The Department of Facilities is looking forward to planning for our district’s future and meeting the needs of our students, staff and community.
