"We've heard of having skeletons in your closet," police joked, "But skeletons in your passenger seat?"

MAPLEWOOD, MN — The Minnesota State Patrol is reminding motorists that "only live human passengers qualify" for the highway carpool lanes after an incident back in March. Authorities say a trooper spotted a skeleton in a vehicle on March 25 in Maplewood on Interstate 35E.
The trooper pulled over the driver, who even had the skeleton buckled improperly, police noted.
The driver was cited.
