Michael Carter Jr to Headline the Miracles for Mitch Foundation's Family Fun Fundraiser on July 21
The promising young Jazz artist, Michael Carter Jr., age 15, will be the featured musician at the Miracles of Mitch Family Fun Night Fundraiser on Monday, July 21, 2014 from 5:30pm to 8:30 pm. The event will be held at Pioneer Park in Stillwater, Minnesota and is open to the public. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness and funds for local children and families battling cancer. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for kids and it includes l food, music, beverages and park activities. Local food trucks—Tot Boss, LuLu Street Food and Mik Mart Ice Cream—will be on hand for delicious food offerings.
“We’re excited to have Michael Carter Jr. perform at this year’s fundraiser,” says Christa Rymal, volunteer and fundraiser for the Miracles of Mitch Foundation. “Every summer we host a family event and we aim to have a local talent perform. This is what led us to Michael. He is an incredible talent and we think that his music will complement the family fun atmosphere of our event,” she continued.
The award winning saxophonist and composer, Doug Little and drummer, Aaron Rupar will accompany Michael Jr at this event. Copies of Michael Jr’s cd, The Future, will be available for sale and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Miracles of Mitch Foundation.
