Tornado Warning Issued For Woodbury, Eagan Areas
The National Weather Service is asking people in parts of Dakota, Ramsey, and Washington County to take cover now.

WOODBURY, MN — The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for parts of the south and east metro, including Woodbury and Eagan. "Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter," the NWS states. "Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely."
The storm will be in:
- Eagan around 7:35 p.m.
- Cottage Grove, Inver Grove Heights and St. Paul Park around 7:40 p.m.
- South St. Paul and West St. Paul around 7:45 p.m.
- Woodbury, Oakdale, Lake Elmo and Afton around 8 p.m.
People should move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris, the NWS states.
