Washington County Receives $1.3M For COVID-19 Response, Vaccines
The Board of Commissioners accepted the state funding May 3.
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MN— The Washington County Board of Commissioners accepted $1.3 million in state funds for COVID-19 response and vaccines May 3, the county said.
The funding can be used until Dec. 31 and came from the Minnesota Department of Health, the county said. The funds will be used for vaccine distribution costs and initiatives to increase vaccinations throughout the county, the county said.
A program planned with this funding is to set up a vaccination clinic in Stillwater, the county said.

The Board of Commissioners also recently declared May to be "Mental Health Month" for the county, the county said.
